From the beginning of its activity, OTTO has adopted as its mission the technical support of the industry in the field of utilization of air pollutants resulting from production processes. The main emphasis is on equipment for the reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Concern for the reduction of harmful substances and pollutants of the enterprise should be important not only for the protection of the environment, but also for better energy efficiency and reduction of resource consumption. In the designed and delivered air purification technologies, we follow the principle of optimal and individual selection of solutions for specific needs along with optimal energy management and maximum use of waste heat, which means that our installations are characterized by low traffic costs, the possibility of adapting them to the sophisticated requirements and criteria of our customers, as well as the possibility of easy future expansion.

We design thermal air purification devices:

Catalytic oxidizing devices (KNV) – are used to clean exhaust air from industrial processes at low temperatures of the combustion chamber. The catalysts are each time selected individually to the specific case of demand. Thanks to the use of highly efficient plate heat exchangers, it is possible to operate the device with a low concentration of organic solvents, even without burning additional fuel. Catalysts are most often used in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, as well as in all kinds of paint shops.

Regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO) – are used to purify exhaust air from industrial processes with the use of ceramic heat accumulators. The use of thermal oxidizers guarantees economic operation, regardless of the concentration of pollutants in the air, also at very high air volume flows. Due to the use of a regenerative, ceramic heat accumulator (heat accumulator), operation is possible without burning additional fuel, even at low solvent concentrations at the inlet to the device.

Zeolite concentrators – VOC concentration devices in conjunction with the above-mentioned KNV or RTO combustion devices – constitute the most economical exhaust air purification technology with a large air volume flow, but with a low solvent concentration. In the cleaning process, a rotating rotor made of hydrophobic zeolite adsorbs organic pollutants from the exhaust air. Then those pollutants are desorbed by hot air and led to the oxidizer for disposal. Zeolite concentrators are mainly used in the coating industry, semiconductor production and in the chemical industry.
